Hexagonal metal refractory furnace lining is a hexagonal honeycomb grid that is essential for the operation of various furnaces, boilers and reactors in refineries, providing thermal insulation and wear protection for the reactor. It acts as a surface framework to hold the refractory in place in the refinery FCC unit and relieves stress on the upper shell of the lining to handle the thermal growth of high-temperature pipes. The temperature of the catalyst or flue gas can reach up to 1,400 °F (about 750 °C), but the internal refractory lining can reduce the shell temperature to less than 650 °F (about 350 °C). It can increase productivity and strengthen the refractory to prevent spalling and cracking. The system can withstand extreme temperatures and is ideal for use in chemical plants, refineries, etc.

Due to the strength and unique design of hexagonal metal, wear and corrosion are slowed, and the life of the refractory is significantly extended. Even hot gaseous substances cannot attack the refractory because they are reflected off the surface by the metal honeycomb grid.
